CS 3260 - Numerical Methods for Computational Science

Introduction to numerical analysis and scientific computing. Topics include Numerical solution of nonlinear equations; Linear system of equations; Matrix eigenvalue problems; Interpolation and least squares; Numerical differentiation and integration; Numerical methods for differential equations.
Prerequisite(s): (Undergraduate level CS 1160 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CS 1180 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CEG 2170 Minimum Grade of D) and (Undergraduate level MTH 2350 Minimum Grade of D or (Undergraduate level MTH 2330 Minimum Grade of D and Undergraduate level MTH 2530 Minimum Grade of D))
