Tools-oriented approach to bioinformatics emphasizing data structure and DNA, string representation in PERL, data searches, pairwise alignments, substitution patterns, protein structure prediction and modeling, proteomics, and web-based bioinformatic tools.
Prerequisite(s): Undergraduate level BIO 1120 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CS 1160 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CS 1180 Minimum Grade of D or Undergraduate level CEG 2170 Minimum Grade of D
