Advanced data mining is concerned with the extraction of novel and useful knowledge from large amounts of data. This course studies the fundamental and advanced concepts, principles, issues, tasks and techniques of data mining. Topics include data preparation, data mining for various knowledge types, data mining from various data types and applications, evaluation and validation, scalability. Department Managed Prerequisite(s): Graduate level CS 6710 Minimum Grade of D
