CECS Scholarships

The College of Engineering and Computer Science also has a variety of scholarships exclusively for students entering our programs. You do need to fill out a separate application form online.

A Sample of Available Engineering and Computer Science Scholarships

The University Honors Program also offers outstanding scholarships. You must apply to Wright State University and submit the Competitive Honors/Trustees Scholarship Application.


Academic Performance and Need-Based Scholarships

Renewable scholarships based on academic performance and need are automatically offered to students who are admitted directly from high school. Offers will be made beginning in December. No separate application is necessary—just apply and be admitted for Fall 2022. 

Students can qualify for one or more scholarships listed below. Combined annual totals range from $500 to in-state tuition. These scholarships are renewable based on continuing to meet specified satisfactory progress for scholarships.

Eligibility Criteria

Wright State will upgrade a limited number of Green & Gold Scholarship offers using a holistic approach. Wright State will look at the student as a whole, including admissions application, FAFSA, and online scholarship application. Offers will be made in April.

  • Students must be enrolled full time
  • The scholarship is divided evenly between the Fall and Spring Semesters
  • Cannot be combined with Green & Gold or Rowdy Raider Scholarships.
  • Students can receive more than one scholarship designed for non-resident students provided the total amount does not exceed the non-resident tuition surcharge.
  • Renewable contingent on maintaining a 2.5 GPA, earning a total of 24 credit hours during the Fall and Spring Semesters, and remaining a non-resident student charged the non-resident surcharge.

Need-Based Scholarships

  • Admitted and attending the WSU Dayton campus
  • Students must be enrolled full time
  • The scholarship is divided evenly between the Fall and Spring Semesters
  • Non-renewable, for first year only
  • To be used for undergraduate study
